150 years were needed to build up Domaine Albrecht located on the very best Alsation terroir. The first
of three periods of growth in the nineteenth century with extensive purchase of vineyards in Orschwihr. The
second after the phylloxera crisis, Henri Albrecht planted several vineyards with Riesling, Pinot Gris,
Gewurztraminer. This was the start of grafted vines.

The third in the twentieth century, the Domaine experienced major development under the
guidance of Lucien Albrecht, to become one of the most important in Alsace with holdings in 9
villages surrounding Orschwihr. He extended the winery and cellars and replanted large areas of the
vineyard. In 1972 is pioneered he Cremant d’Alsace – which today is one of Albrecht specialities.
