Jean-Baptiste Jessiaume

Cote de Beaune

The family’s story begins in 1830 with the acquisition of the estate of the Marquis of Saint Innocent in Santenay. Successive generations of talented winemakers have come since and knowledge of the land acquired and improved generation after generation. Jean-Baptiste represents the sixth generation of the Jessiaume family and this is Jean-Baptiste’s own Maison. Vineyards are mostly located in the Cotes de Beaune and Cotes Chalonnaise, each wine is made in tiny qauntities. Jean-Baptiste worked with his father Marc in their family winery and together they ran Domaine Chanzy, through this time Jean-Baptiste won the ‘Young Talent Trophy’ awarded by Allen Meadows in 2012.

“What I’ve inherited is not only an estate. It’s an expectation. An expectation of ensuring the exceptional quality for which my family’s wines are known.” – Jean-Baptiste Jessiaume.
